OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST in Highlands CountyServing three locations with 35 students on caseload. The OT who is here is a new mom and she has been trying to fit a 5 day caseload into 3 days. She works on handwriting, learning to use scissors, feeding and some toileting in the IND classrooms. The OT provides Special Ed teachers with visuals and adaptive equipment. This is a great job – 40 hours per week, lots of vacations, pleasant co-workers and the kids are awesome. This is one of the best paying districts we work in. The current OT is available to overlap with you and get you started.

Teacher of the Visually Impaired or Orientation & Mobility Specialist in BREVARD County Schools This is an itinerant position serving multiple schools. Students will cover all age ranges, from pre-k to grade 12. Needs include low vision students needing assistive technology to blind students requiring instruction in braille. We can work up to 40 hours per week over the course of the school year. ESY work is an option if you are interested. You can work as an employee with full benefits, work as a part time employee with partial benefits, or work as an Independent Contractor. You absolutely MUST have Florida Teachers Certification in TVI or O&M. Certification in any other areas will not work.

PHYSICAL THERAPIST IN BREVARD SCHOOLS This is a nice 40 hour per week position serving schools in Titusville, Merritt Island and Cocoa. There are 18 students seen once or twice weekly, another 12 students who are seen monthly, and 16 more students who receive consult services (meet with teachers.) There are a bunch of really good PTs in this district and they are more than willing to help you get accustomed to school based therapy services.

LAKE COUNTY SCHOOLS SPEECH PATHOLOGISTS Lost Lake Elementary School full time needed, also East Ridge Middle School – maternity coverage from 1/11/24 until 4/9/24.
These are both maternity coverage spots, but there are definitely going to be vacancies next school year if you like it and wish to continue. Maternity leaves are a great way to learn the ropes because the regular SLP takes great care to have everything set up perfectly before she goes out on leave.

ALACHUA COUNTY SCHOOLS/ GAINESVILLE- SLPs and SLPAs We have full or part time available. Schools across the district need additional help to keep the Speech caseloads reasonable. There is an additional need for an SLP to serve a day or two at the Hawthorne schools so the Lead SLP can stop seeing kids and get back to helping all the other SLPs as needed. WE JUST GOT A BIG RAISE IN JANUARY!

VOLUSIA COUNTY SCHOOLS SLPs – Excellent salary and benefits for the school year. If you’re new to the district, you get a mentor. Almost all SLPs have an aide assigned to them a couple of times a week to help with paperwork. Volusia gives all SLPs an ASHA Learning Pass (in addition to our own company CEU budget,) plus SLP trainings throughout the year. This is a good district and it’s in a great Florida beach area! Please contact us for the updated list as it keeps changing. District is divided into the east side (beach side) and west side (closer to Sanford includes Deland, Deltona) with separate SLP leadership to make sure you get any help you need quickly and by someone located near your school. CURRENT OPENINGS: 2 Full time or part time on the Westside; 3 Full time or part time on the Eastside.

OCALA / MARION COUNTY SCHOOLS SLPs – Marion once again increased their compensation for the 23-24 school year! There are two great Lead Therapists here. This has been a stable place to work in a pleasant area filled with springs, rivers, horse farms and outdoor activities.  It is also a great place to learn the schools.  We’ve had OTs and SLPs working in this district for 20 years!  It’s that good! AND NOW THE PAY IS VASTLY IMPROVED! Still in need of SLPs, including a great one – Anthony Elementary school. The caseload will fit easily into 4 days, and includes lots of ASD students. The Leads are willing to give the new SLP 5 days in order to feel comfortable and get to learn the school system procedures and get comfortable with treating kids in the schools.

HIGHLANDS COUNTY SCHOOLS SPEECH PATHOLOGISTS OUR HIGHEST PAY! Pay is excellent. This is a smaller district in the middle of the state, but it is perfect for weekend day trips to the beach, Orlando or Ft Myers. The city has grown and has all the usual amenities for happiness and recreation. This district prefers SLPs to already have their CCC-SLP. For experienced SLPs who love the schools, it is worth a move! There is a cool car racing vibe here at Sebring International Raceway, plus a UNESCO Dark Sky area (see the Milky Way!)
