SPEECH PATHOLOGISTS – We work in many school districts across Florida. If you are interested in schools and live in Florida, we may have spots opening up in counties that aren’t listed below yet- let us know if you have an interest in these areas and we’ll check and see if anyone is needed! We could likely have spots in Flagler County, Highlands County, Collier County

ST JOHNS COUNTY SCHOOLS SLPs- This is a new county for us! There will be openings next school year at all grade levels. If you are interested in living and working in St. Augustine, please send a resume asap and we can talk! It’s a two part interview process where we have to interview you first, then you need to also speak with the Lead SLP. We are really looking forward to working in St Johns!

DIXIE COUNTY SCHOOLS SPEECH PATHOLOGIST, and possibly an SLPA- We need at least a 3 day per week SLP to cover schools in this small coastal county. Pay is excellent, plus we receive a daily travel allowance that more than makes up for gas and travel. The previous SLP combined Dixie County schools with staying at her fishing cabin but has to leave to care for a grandchild. There are only 4 schools in the county plus another SLP. Currently the SLP in our group was doing the middle school (6 hours/wk), the high school (1.5 hours a week) and the other days at Old Town Elementary. You should call us about the rates – they are good! It’s worth it to drive from surrounding counties.

LEVY COUNTY SCHOOLS SLP- We need a full time SLP, preferably with school experience, to work in this small but awesome district that is very commutable from Gainesville and parts of Ocala. This county is the only place we work with a schedule of 3 weeks of therapy and 1 week with no therapy (for evals, paperwork, planning and meetings.) This schedule is really really nice! The open school hasn’t been decided yet, but could be Bronson or Williston.

Teacher of the Visually Impaired or Orientation & Mobility Specialist in BREVARD County Schools and LAKE County Schools This is an itinerant position serving multiple schools. Students will cover all age ranges, from pre-k to grade 12. Needs include low vision students needing assistive technology to blind students requiring instruction in braille. We can work up to 40 hours per week in BREVARD and 35 hours per week in LAKE over the course of the school year. ESY work is an option if you are interested. You can work as an employee with full benefits, work as a part time employee with partial benefits, or work as an Independent Contractor. You absolutely MUST have Florida Teachers Certification in TVI or O&M. Certification in any other areas will not work.

LAKE COUNTY SCHOOLS SPEECH PATHOLOGISTS and possibly SLPAs- Lake County has always tried hard to make life good for SLPs. The Lead SLP has a history of jumping in to help therapists who get overwhelmed. This is a growing county and more SLPs are needed! We work 7 hours per day and are allowed to start the school year when the teachers start, so even though we are contract, we still have the first weeks before school starts to plan and get organized. We are also included in all the countywide Speech meetings, with pay! Not all counties allow for this. Lake is a big county and includes Leesburg, Clermont, Mt Dora, Eustis, and Groveland.

ALACHUA COUNTY SCHOOLS/ GAINESVILLE- SLPs and SLPAs- We will have full or part time available. There will be Gainesville schools with full time openings and also schools that need a second or third SLP. We will have the list of vacancies later in May or early June. In case you live in Palatka or Hawthorne -the Hawthorne schools almost always need an SLP – nice schools, just a bit distant from Gainesville proper, so if you live out this way, ask about Hawthorne. WE JUST GOT A BIG RAISE IN JANUARY!

ALACHUA COUNTY Occupational Therapist and COTA- We will get the list of vacancies in June, but we know that we had one OT move and a COTA retire, so it is very likely we will have these spots open next school year. Rates are good, the Lead OT is very skilled and helpful.

VOLUSIA COUNTY SCHOOLS SLPs – Excellent salary and benefits for the school year. If you’re new to the district, you get a mentor. Almost all SLPs have an aide assigned to them a couple of times a week to help with paperwork. Volusia gives all SLPs an ASHA Learning Pass (in addition to our own company CEU budget,) plus SLP trainings throughout the year. This is a good district and it’s in a great Florida beach area! Please contact us for the updated list as it keeps changing. As of March 2024, there were 3 full time openings, so we expect at least that many next school year. The district is divided into the east side (beach side) and west side (closer to Sanford includes Deland, Deltona) with separate SLP leadership to make sure you get any help you need quickly and by someone located near your school.

OCALA / MARION COUNTY SCHOOLS SLPs – There are two great Lead Therapists here. This has been a stable place to work in a pleasant area filled with springs, rivers, horse farms and outdoor activities.  It is also a great place to learn the schools.  We’ve had OTs and SLPs working in this district for 20 years!  It’s that good! Our last pay increase just happened this school year (23-24 SY.) Next year there will still be a need for SLPs – the earlier you contact us and interview, the better your choices of available schools.

HIGHLANDS COUNTY SCHOOLS SPEECH PATHOLOGISTS OUR HIGHEST PAY! Pay is excellent. This is a smaller district in the middle of the state, but it is perfect for weekend day trips to the beach, Orlando or Ft Myers. The city has grown and has all the usual amenities for happiness and recreation. This district prefers SLPs to already have their CCC-SLP. For experienced SLPs who love the schools, it is worth a move! There is a cool car racing vibe here at Sebring International Raceway, plus a UNESCO Dark Sky area (see the Milky Way!)
